Some patrons express a desire for faster service during peak times, indicating that food can take a while to arrive when busy. While many enjoy the drinks selection, a small number of reviews mention that the cocktails could have a stronger flavor profile. A few diners feel that some dishes are on the slightly pricier side for casual dining, especially for larger groups. Certain customers recommend more robust options for individuals who enjoy spicier or more intensely flavored dishes. Additionally, while the outdoor seating is loved, it can get crowded during peak hours, which might detract from the overall experience.
This fantastic restaurant is a hidden gem that we were so happy to find. We had the best meal we’ve eaten in a long time and it was great value too. The staff are so friendly and make sure you’re well looked after, we really felt welcome. A wonderful place to have a great meal and views of a great marina too! We can’t wait to go back.
The food and service was absolutely brilliant. Great veggie/vegan and gluten free options - even a Sunday roast if we wanted! Would recommend to anyone. Lovely atmosphere and our dogs were very welcomed - they even were given a sausage each from the staff!
Delightful casual restaurant on the marina. Good variety to the menu. Great view of the sun going down while enjoying fish and chips with a cheeky sauvignon blanc. Lovely waitresses. Worth a drive.
Came here for a birthday meal and only booked the day before for lunch. They were great in being able to accommodate such a large group, around 14 of us. The lady that greeted/served us was very polite, and made us feel at ease and not like we've put pressure on them. Service was very good overall and food was brought out quickly, and within the groups we were paying, as we informed them we were splitting the bill before hand. I had the pork belly for starter, and the jerk burger as a main. I cannot recommend the belly enough, perfectly executed with a lovely sauce, and sour cream which go well together with the pork. The jerk burger was nice, with lots of bell pepper and mixed salad in the bun, the chicken could have been more jerky for me but I like my heat and spice. Parking is nearby so you won't have to walk far, and you'll have great views over the bay/sea.
The Drift is a classy place, catering for the boating community. You can eat, drink and buy a boat 🛥 form your seat 💺 lol. Excellently cooked food from local chefs.
The food is amazing the pub is beautiful but service is a tad slow having to wait quite a while or prompt staff but not an issue when you have their attention - food was an average timed wait ans it was well worth the wait indeed
We sat outside first and had a drink in the evening sunshine, very pleasant. Then went to the table inside for the meal. Nice, relaxed ambience, Thursday night, pretty quiet. Service was quick, waitress very personable. Starter was a shared melted camambert with garlic and bread, delicious. Mains were monkfish and sea bass, beautifully cooked. The prawn mash was a very pleasant surprise! Desserts were Eton Mess and Strawberry cheesecake, both well balanced and not overly sharp. I thought the whole meal represented good value and we will definitely be returning.
